Borderless window is a very common feature you can use to make a game act like it is fullscreen, while being easy to minimize and capture. If you do want to capture with ShareX, make sure to run your games in windowed mode. Check your graphics drivers for specific tools like Nvidia ShadowPlay or AMD ReLive, Steam built-in screenshot feature, or OBS. Moreover, if you goal is it capture games, there are way better solutions already. Even though it is technically possible to implement such feature in ShareX, it is way outside the scope and would require next level of effort to test and maintain. Every app that can do either has to insert special hooks into graphics api and that would allow capturing/overlaying that one app at a time. This is great for games because it eliminates latency, but also complicates any attempts to capture the image or add overlays to it. Here, you can view the other functions you can use, such as capturing a screenshot or video. True fullscreen makes it such that image never even goes back to operating system, it is casted from your GPU to screen directly. Open ShareX by searching for it on your computer.
