It was so annoying to read that! And oh boy, Will went from a responsible teacher who weighs all options and thinks things through before taking a decision to an immature and highly irresponsible 15 year old! Should I even start talking about bad parenting? No wonder Julia would’ve preferred Kel to be raised by Brenda! She acts so immaturely when it comes to her relationship with Will. And yet, she acts like a mature person at other instances. This book solidified my belief that Lake acts so immature sometimes. I didn’t like this as much as I liked the previous book. Lake and Will face many obstacles in their relationship, there are misunderstandings along with the added responsibility of being a parent to their younger brothers at such a young age. The story takes off from where the first book left it, from the point of view of the male protagonist instead. Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover is the second book of the Slammed series.
